What are Car Battery Stations?

Similar in concept to gas stations, electric car battery stations will swap out an electric car driver’s exhausted lithium-ion car battery for a recharged one.

Drivers can subscribe to a monthly service to gain access to battery stations and fully-charged batteries for their e-cars. While electric-car owners can still charge their cars at home, car battery stations will give them the flexibility to travel long distances despite todays batteries limited range.

The station service will make electric cars more attractive by solving the range problem and issue of battery expense.
